One morning, after a storm had washed ashore hundreds of starfish, a little kid was strolling down the beach. While strolling, he saw a man gathering starfish one by one and discarding them back into the water.
Curious, the toddler said, “Why are you bothering? There are a huge number of starfish. You couldn’t possibly save them all.
The man picked up another starfish and threw it back into the ocean, grinning. His words, “I had an impact on that one,”
The kid thought about it for a while, then threw starfish back into the sea with the man. By collaborating to save hundreds of starfish, they showed that even little actions can have a big impact.
Moral:
Even small actions can make a big difference.
